Garden Fencing for Garden or Bed Areas
If your deer problem is confined to a smaller backyard area (1/4 acre or less), a vegetable garden, or beds/foundation plantings, then a variety of solutions are available with our garden fencing. For back yard areas or garden enclosures wider than 20' it is highly recommended that the full 7.5' high Standard Perimeter Garden Fencing be used. Our 9' Garden Posts will work well as line posts every 10-12 feet, with Heavy Duty Posts suggested for additional support at the corners (corner braces are a plus, but not necessary) with the garden fencing. Ground stakes are essential to keep deer from sneaking underneath. Nylon Guide Cable can be used along the top of the garden fencing to keep it from sagging over time if so desired.
Smaller bed areas or foundation plantings can be easily protected with our shorter heights (4', 5' or 6') of Standard Garden Fencing. Shorter length Garden Posts (one foot longer than the fence height) are to be installed every 10-12' for vertical support. Ground Stakes are still required along the bottom of the garden fencing.
Another option is to drape our ¼" mesh netting over bed areas or individual plants, shrubs, or groundcovers (this product performs the dual function of keeping out birds and allowing for easy leaf collection in the fall with our garden fencing).
