Deer Netting for Larger Enclosures
When enclosing areas greater than
1/4 acre in size, Benner's “Heavy Perimeter” Deer Netting is highly
recommended. This material is 65% stronger than our standard deer
netting, and is the product of choice for larger enclosures where
it will be more challenging to change the deer's travel patterns.
As always, make sure the deer netting area in which you wish to
keep deer out of, is completely enclosed.
The fence line for these larger enclosures should also be reinforced
along the top and through the middle with our Nylon
Tension Cable designed specifically for our deer netting. This
is installed across the top to minimize fence sag and to deflect
falling limbs. It is also hog-ringed to
the fence through the middle (3' up from ground level) to reinforce
the deer “impact zone”. As always, Ground
Stakes are required along the bottom of the deer fence every
5 – 6
feet to keep deer from pushing under the fence. If you do not have
trees to attach to, or have spacing between trees of greater than
20 feet, then you will also need Heavy
Duty Posts. For corners void of trees, a Corner
Post Brace will be required for the deer netting and fencing
products.

IMPORTANT: For
large orders of deer netting or fence/posts (typically $1,500 or
more), Benner’s
prefers to ship the order common carrier. This ensures your products
will arrive in the best condition and all at one time. Someone
will need to be home to sign for the delivery. We will contact
you prior to shipment to confirm that this is feasible.
